Colonel Bernard J. McCabe, Jr. has 40 years of experience in domestic and International security having recently retired from Marathon Oil Corporation as the Global Security Manager. He supervised all security measures and protocols for the overall safety and security of the company while serving on the Board of Directors for two energy industry associations and Crime Stoppers of Houston. Colonel McCabe has provided security for many firms and Heads of State internationally.
Prior to his work in private business, Colonel McCabe spent 30 years serving his country. He began his career in 1966 with the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division and Special Operations Units in Vietnam. Upon his return from Vietnam, he was assigned to the 3rd Infantry (The Old Guard) in Washington, DC. Colonel McCabe attended the Field Artillery Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a 2LT in the U.S. Army Field Artillery in the 82ndAirborne Division. Colonel McCabe has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cameron University and Master of Science Degree from Harvard University at the Naval War College. Military education includes the Army Command and General Staff College and the Naval War College. He also taught Military History and Political Science at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. Colonel McCabe is licensed by the State of Texas Private Security Bureau as a Personal Protection Officer and a Commissioned Security Officer.
